What is it?
A boot camp is a great way to get a cardio and strength workout in together. Each boot camp will last about 45 minutes and will be different each time. The workouts will consist of body weight exercises with bouts of cardio in between to keep your heart rate up. Push up variations, lunges, squats are only a few of the exercises that will be performed in these total body workouts. Be ready for some jumping jacks, jogging, high knees, and some ab work as well!
Do you have to be in good shape for these classes?
Anyone who is up for the challenge is welcome to try out a boot camp class. There will be modifications for each exercise to make them easier/harder depending on your fitness level. It is always important to listen to your body and ease up on the intensity by taking a break or slowing down if needed.
What do I need to bring to a boot camp class?
All you need to bring is yourself dressed in comfortable work out clothes and shoes. Also, if you have a work out mat and a light pair of weights, please bring those as well. You will still be able to participate in boot camp if you don’t have weights; however, some of the exercises may involve them. Three or five pound weights will work just fine and can be found in most stores such as Target, Wal-Mart, etc.
How much does the class cost?
The first boot camp class is free and then after that, it will cost only $10 per class. Please come prepared to pay before class with cash only. There will also be a waiver for you to sign before class begins.
